In the seven years of its existence, video compression according to H.264 (also known as mpeg4-ACV) has conquered a leading position, both in the professional and the consumer market. The standard can’t be ignored when it comes to production and contribution of television programmes, as well as in their distribution, either terrestrial, via satellite, cable or the internet. In this workshop we will look at this standard in all its forms.
